SHORT TRIP IN SAMARINDA

One day, my dad told us that he has some training in Samarinda city in Mesra Hotel on weekend. So, he asked us to come there with him altogether holiday. For your information, Mesra Hotel is the oldest and the first hotel that had founded in Samarinda city. And perhaps you curious to know why I often go to Samarinda, there s some reasons actually, 1 st , coz Samarinda is my hometown! I was born in samarinda city. So I’ve a lot of relatives that live in Samarinda. But than when I was 7 years old or grade 2 at elementary school, I moved to Balikpapan city because of my dad’s work. And Samarinda also the capital city of East Kalimantan province. But unfortunately, there is ashamed fact that Samarinda is the only capital city that has NO airport in Indonesia!!! How shamely….. :-( I don’t really understood how is the government’s brain works! -,- Actually, we spend our time there just for swimming, swimming , and swimming! Mesra Hotel has 3 swimming pools! PROPHET ZAKARIYA (peace be upon him)

Zakariya (Zachariah) was an illustrious Prophet of the Israelites. He was one of the descendants of Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him). The name of his wife was al-Yashbi' who belonged to the family of Prophet Harun (peace be upon him). The Prophet Zakariya (peace be upon him) was the patron of Mary, the mother of Prophet Isa (peace be upon him). He was the trustee of Hekal. He worked as a carpenter and earned his livelihood. The Prophet Zakariya (peace be upon him) kept the torch of Mosaic law burning. He used to pray devotionally and preach zealously. His wife and he were the symbols of piety and righteousness. Most of his kinsmen lacked in spirit of true faith. As they were seduced, they were inclined to doing evil deeds. They were going out of the right path. The Prophet Zakariya (peace be upon him) was much anxious about this state of affairs. He had no offspring and there was no suitable person to hold the office of priesthood of Hekal after his death.
