Its is almost 12 PM on Wednesday, i am supposed to write my paper for Psychology class instead of wandering around on my blog. Or start writing my Natural Resource journal instead of researching the life of Harvey Milk. Or studying evidence for my upcoming Michigan State debate tournament this week end instead of having my eyes glued to Tyler Oakley's youtube channel. I know i am natural procrastinator and i have no excuse for that, but i just cant get these stuff out of my mind. I will try my best to explain these 'stuff' i am talking about. As you know i am living in United States at the moment because of my exchange student program. I realized that coming from a totally different society would surely trouble me at some points while living in this country. In every orientation programs i have attended, they've always subtly segues the idea of 'reserving judgement' as a coping mechanism to live in a totally different society. As a normal teenager, I do wonder about love sometimes. What is it and what is the meaning behind its existence. Why does Allah SWT wants His creature to own this fascinating feeling. Unfortunately, most of the time human could not make a difference between love and lust. Does true love even exist in our world? If yes, how to identify a true love? Some of us would say having a relationship is the answer. The effective way to test and prove our love. Thus, so many unmarried people especially Moslem teenagers start to have a relationship with their opposite gender which is absolutely prohibited in Islam.

Al-Nisa (The Women) Sura 4: Verse 29 (Partial) "... And kill yourselves not, for God is truly Merciful to you." People who are driven to despair are thus reminded to have faith in God's mercy in the hope that they may be relieved of their suffering. Since suicide is prohibited, anyone who tries to facilitate it, or acts as an accomplice, is also liable to a deterrent punishment that may be quantified by the court while taking into consideration the material circumstances of the case. Commentators have, moreover, drawn a five-point conclusion from this verse as follows:

In our eagerness to copy the West, we Muslims have adopted many of their practices which have no basis in the Sharee’ah. And among them is the practice of a woman changing her family name to that of her husband after she gets married. The fact is that Islam does not require woman to change her name at marriage and there is nothing in the Sunnah to indicate that a woman should take her husband’s name after she gets married.

This ugly practice of lying, which is considered to be merely a humor, is known to have caused great harm to many. Still this dishonest tradition is not only practiced among the common masses, but also newspapers and magazines participate in it by publishing false news and untrue stories on the first day of April!
